ArtBuilt works to provide robust support to artists/creative workers across a broad spectrum of needs - basic financial literacy, debt management/reduction, credit repair, savings, long-term asset-building/multigenerational wealth-building, homeownership and access to affordable rentals.

Current Programs

° Creatives Thrive NYC presented by ArtBuilt, with Brunch & Budget and the Entertainment Community Fund. A year-round training initiative providing expert financial knowledge, trusted resources and a network of reliable partners to help Creative New Yorkers thrive in our often chaotic economy.
° Thrive In Place with the Entertainment Community Fund. Focused on affordable housing, homeownership, and building knowledge to improve personal finances, THRIVE IN PLACE! is designed to help creative sector workers understand the relationship between housing choices and their financial wellbeing.
° Trust•Worthy with See Change, The Joan Mitchell Foundation, and The Mellon Foundation. A community-based financial coaching, wealth-building, and advocacy program, specifically designed to help artists of color heal their relationship with money, build financial resilience, create community, and build and grow intergenerational wealth.

BROOKLYN

The Brooklyn Army Terminal Studio Community is a 50,000 square foot affordable arts and arts business production space, with over 60 spaces and more than 100 working artists and businesses, located in the Brooklyn Army Terminal. ArtBuilt Brooklyn aggregates production space for small producers, building long-term stability for NYC’s creative economy, and security for the creative workforce that makes NYC a global cultural capital.

MOBILE STUDIOS

ArtBuilt Mobile Studios bring arts and culture programming to parks and street plazas in under-served neighborhoods, helping residents, city agencies and elected officials re-imagine our public spaces as venues for creative production. Currently in New York City, NY.

Current Programs

° Summer at Avenue C Plaza with Kensington Culutral Council. Activating Avenue C Plaza through arts programming as a neighborhood cultural hub for the immigrant community.
° Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at Brooklyn Army Terminal with Casa Cultural. A celebration that brings Sunset Park to life with color, music, and culture.
° Kensington Community Iftar hosted by Arts & Democracy, co-sponsored by ArtBuilt, New York City Comptroller Brad Lander, New York City Council Member Shahana Hanif, and Naturally Occurring Cultural Districts NY.
