Using the production of a trilingual (Spanish/ Mandarin/ English )newspaper, ROUND ROBIN, as a starting point for neighborhood cohesion building in Seward Park on the Lower east Side (LES), artists Sue Jeong Ka and Melissa Liu (Art Parley)
Aimed for participants from diasporic communities in #Chinatown, #LES, and #TwoBridges.
Partners included: Immigrant Social Services, New York Public Library, Seward Park Conservancy, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, NYC parks, and Queens
BEAUTIFUL PORTRAITS TAKEN IN #RAILROADPARK #BX BY ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE DAVID FLORES!
Artist David Flores brought his project "Nueva Bronx: 21st Century Families" to Railroad Park in the Bronx.
David created a photo studio where families could come to take free family portraits and go home with large scale art prints, printed on site in the mobile studio.
Project partners include WHEDco, The DreamYard Project, The Bronx Defenders, NYC parks, and Queens Museum.
HAMACAS AT QUEENS MUSEUM! (November 2018)
HamacaS was an interactive installation of looms and hand-woven hammocks that aims to capture the physical and emotional displacement experienced by immigrants in the United States.

This month-long series of publicly engaged arts events in Kensington, Brooklyn runs from June 1-30, 2018.
Giant thanks to Jill and The Singing Winds, and our beloved partners Arts & Democracy, the Kensington Stewards, Brad Landers (and all the amazing folks in his office), and New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.

Over 200 people came to our Community Iftar @ Avenue C Plaza!!!! what a blessing to break the fast with so many wonderful friends and neighbors and with food from so many amazing places: Nigeria, Turkey, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Indonesiaand Bangladesh!!!
